What You Should Expect
Afflare Education works with compassionate instructors who share our mission. The first step of the application process involves reviewing the Instructor Interest Form to ascertain if the candidate fits our needs. The second step of the process is an interview, after which we will determine the candidate's position on our team. Once a candidate has cleared these two steps, they will finalize their teaching materials and undergo a teacher training to learn Afflare's policies on instructing in a virtual environment. This training completes the prerequisites to becoming an instructor with us. During the Summer Program, instructors may be paired when teaching similar courses. For all courses with an instructor teaching alone, a board member will attend the meetings to offer help in case it is needed. Instructors will be a provided a log to fill out the time they have spent teaching or creating materials and after their course is over, may log their hours for service hours.
